Have you noticed any new signs of advanced hearing loss that aren\u2019t being adequately addressed with your current pair of hearing aids? Over time, they will wear out. You should always be on the lookout for signs of deterioration, such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Shortened battery life<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sudden power issues<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Distorted sound<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Muffled sound<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Volume issues<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Feedback<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, evaluate if they still fit comfortably in your ears. Your ear canals actually age and change shape over time, so it\u2019s not uncommon for hearing aids to fit less well than they did a few years prior.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Check In with Your Audiologist<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Even if you follow the above steps and determine that your hearing aids are functioning well (great!), we recommend scheduling <a href=\"https:\/\/hearingsb.com\/hearing-aids\/hearing-aid-repair-service\/\">repair appointments<\/a> with your audiologist at least once a year.
