When you have partial or complete hearing loss in one ear you may struggle:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Locating people\u2019s voices in a crowd<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Gauging the volume of sound<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Multi-tasking, since your brain is working harder to process sounds<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hearing in noisy environments, like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.arlingtonplazasb.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Arlington Plaza<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Treatment Options for Unilateral Hearing Loss<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Treatment will likely depend on the severity of the hearing loss. You wear a transmitter device in the non-functional ear, and in the functional ear, you have a receiver that processes the sound and delivers it via a microphone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are also BiCROS hearing aids that work mostly in the same way. However, they are for people with moderate to severe hearing loss in their functional ear and so sound is amplified as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What Will Help You Hear Best?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As of right now, there is no definitive answer on what the best treatment option for unilateral hearing loss is.
